Play ball!!

Sam's T-ball "season" ended today. The program he's been playing with is called Small Steps through the YMCA. For his age group (3-5), they have practice every week teaching them fundamentals of T-ball. A parent has to be present with each child and Jason and Sam have had so much fun with this being "their thing" together. The final practice of the season is a "scrimmage." Sam was so excited to be playing a real game! He looked forward to it all day long. Here are a few pics:

This week....

So I took Sam in to the pediatrician today because his nose and cough just weren't getting any better. He woke up from his nap on Sunday complaining about his ear, gave him Tylenol, and he never complained about it again. This morning he woke up and his eyes were goopy and he was just yuck. I took him in and the kid has a DOUBLE ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. You wouldn't know it by the way he has acted today, though. He's been typical Sam. Maybe now the nose will clear up and he'll be really good to go.

I meant to share this last week and I forgot. One afternoon last week, Caroline got in the car and I asked how her day was. She says, "good." Then I asked what they did that day. Her reply was, "Well, we worked on your Mother's Day project. But I'm not going to tell you what it is." I told her okay, don't tell me. I'll find out later! Her response to that was, "Well, I can tell you one thing. It's quality work!"
Quality work, says she. This kid kills me!

Until next time........

Sam's Alphabet "Presentation"

At school today, Sam had to bring a letter poster for his "assigned" letter. They are doing a review of the alphabet and each child had to make a poster with items that started with that letter. They also had a "feast" after the presentations that each child brought a food that started with his/her letter. Sam had "B" and brought a Bunch of Bananas. Enjoy the video of Letter "B"

We'll be doing a little remodeling this year at our house...

We will be adding two little feet in November! Yes, you read that right. We are expecting Baby Babin #3 in November. The kids are VERY excited, although I'm not sure Sam understands the enormity of the news! Good thing we got Tina Town & Country :)

I am 6.5 weeks along now. Morning sickness has arrived with avengence, but I've got me some Zofran now and we WILL be up and functioning again soon.

Until next time.....

Happy 4th Birthday, Sam!!!!

I know, I know...I'm about 10 days late posting these pics. My camera battery went out and my friend, Misty, took up the slack and took pictures for me with her camera. I got the pics today so here I am posting them!!

Sam had a LSU Football party. He had such a good time, good weather, good friends, and good food!

Easter Sunday pics...

On Sunday morning, the four of us went to 7:30am Mass. You read that right, 7:30AM! Afterwards, we went to brunch at the Aquarium Restaurant on the Kemah Boardwalk. It was AWESOME! The food was good. The Easter Bunny made an appearance and gave the kids an egg with candy in it. It was a really nice day.

After brunch, we stopped at Helen's Garden Park in League City for a few pictures. The flowers are so pretty and we were all dressed up!

The sun was really bright so pay no attention to the fact that we have no eyes.

Until next time....

Easter "Egg"stravaganza

The kids went to a playmate's house for an Easter egg hunt and to play some games. They got LOTS of eggs and treats. They even made a cute craft (thanks, Mith Mithty) to take home.

Hey, Ma! I found some!!Caroline only wanted to pick up the PINK eggs!

All good "egg"stravaganzas are complete with Easter Sack Races!

Until next time....

It was only a matter of time, but it took 6.5 years.....

Our first trip to the E.R. for an injury. We were at a friend's house earlier today for an Easter egg hunt and games. I was getting the kids in the van, putting stuff in the back, while Caroline got herself in. I tell Sam to get in and get ready for me to buckle him. I hear him crying. I come around the side of the van and he's fallen. I tell him to "dust off and get in his seat." He got in his seat and opens his mouth and it's full of blood. I grabbed him, ran back into Christi's house. I finally get the blood to stop gushing so I can find from where it is coming. I look at his lip and he's put his front tooth through it. Not all the way through it, but according to the ER doctor, pretty close to all the way. So, Caroline goes with Mandy (thank goodness for GREAT friends!), I call Jason, and we all meet at the ER. He did NOT need stitches (whew!). The dr. told us the mouth is very forgiving and it will heal within the next few days. He said it will turn black/blue first, then heal. They don't like to put stitches in young kids b/c the "process" is very emotional. The Dr. gave us Amoxicillan for in case of infection.

I think I got a few {more} grey hairs today......

Until next time.....

St. Patrick's Day

We started the day with green scrambled eggs and green milk. Sam ate a pop-tart out of a green box (apple cinnamon). Later that morning, we went to a park for a St.Patrick's Day picnic.

Looking for turtles in the lake. No worries...all us Moms were standing VERY close to them!
I looked up and they were running hand-in-hand. TOO SWEET!
Group Shot with our friendsCan you tell how windy it was?!?!?!

Until next time....

Some bunny pics...

Our friend, Misty, got some real, live rabbits. She so kindly brought them to a park on Sunday and allowed us to torture them and take pics!!!

Mandy loaned us this bunny costume to take a few pictures.

Yes, it is silly.

Yes, it is good blackmail for later.

Yes, all I could think of was Ralphie!

Until next time......
