Hannah made it through her surgery successfully. She is still in the hospital and will be there for about 7-10 more days. Please continue to pray for her and her family. Thanks so much.

For those of you who know Sam, you know that we've not been very successful on the potty training front. We've talked about it, we've bought a little potty, we've talked about it, we've gotten stickers, we've talked about it, we've gotten m&m's, and we've talked about it. His response has always been, while looking at his little boy parts, "it doesn't work." That all changed this week. There is a certain Lightning McQueen diecast car, the one with his tongue hanging out like in the beginning of the movie, for which Sam has been asking. I actually found it this week and got it. We brought it out Friday night and told him he could have it if he did his "business" in the potty. He sat Friday, nothing. He sat Saturday, nothing. Tonight, he sat on the potty and waited and waited and waited. I provided him with some bathroom "literature" to keep him occupied (Just like a man!) and we sat. I left the room to go do something and heard the most beautiful sound. "Moooooooommmmiiiiieeeee! It worked! It worked, Mommie" I ran in there and there it was in the little potty. Sam sitting there with the biggest grin on his face. So tonight, as my little boy goes to sleepy-land clutching his Tongue McQueen car, I know that maybe, just maybe, we are on the road to being a Diaper-free household sometime in the near future.
Until next time.......................

Our bestest friends, Denyse and Jason, along with their precious 2 year old daughter, Hannah, are at Children's Hospital in Boston right now. She is set to have her 3rd heart surgery on Monday. We ask that you keep them in your prayers. They mean so very much to our family. Our prayers are with you Nici, Max, and Hannah!

We took the kids to two parks in League City today. One is called Helen's Garden with flowers, benches, and a waterfall. They had fun chasing the butterflies, looking at the waterfalls, watching a spider spin a web, and eating a picnic lunch. Caroline and Sam did indulge me and allow me to take a few (hundred) pictures. After our lunch, we went to the other park, League Park, across the street and played on the playground. There is a pond there with turtles & lily pads. The kids liked the gazebo because it looked like the one on Barney! They also had lots of fun on the tire swing. They laughed and laughed, as you can see in the picture. The weather was nice and we spent a few hours playing today. Here are a few pictures from today. The last picture was caught spontaneously. She hopped on that wood block and struck the pose. Gotta love that kid :)

Caroline started soccer tonight. We went last night and got cleats, a ball, shin guards, and of course, some appropriate soccer practice clothing. In true Caroline-fashion, she picked out pink for almost everything. When she got home from school, Caroline must have asked me a million times how much longer till practice. She was dressed and ready to go 2 hours prior to the start of practice! As you can see in the pictures, she was an absolute diva out there in all her pink gloriousness.
I would be remiss to not include the little wonder that is Sam.....here is a picture of him at Caroline's soccer practice.
Until next time....................................
