On May 25, Caroline got to go see Taylor Swift. Nana came in town and off we went. Caroline got these tickets for Christmas so this concert was very long awaited! Gloriana opened the show, then Kellie Pickler. We were very surprised with how much we liked her songs! Then, out came Taylor Swift. She put on a fantastic show, playing for almost 2.5 hours. Our show was videoed for a DVD and TV special that will be on in the Fall. When we got to the concert, we were all given "props" to use during the concert. We all got glow sticks and flashlights. It was way too cool. Caroline enjoyed the concert very much. During one of the last songs, "Love Story," Caroline turned to me and said, "Thank You, Mommie!" and that made it ALL worth it!Until next time...

Elegant Day
Sam's Kindergarten class has been working on good manners. To culminate this unit, they host an Elegant Party. All of the Kindergartners sing a song about going to First Grade (I'll put that video up soon.) and then they eat. After eating, the tables are moved out and the boys and girls dance. It is the cutest thing!

Update on Sam - May 2010
I know many of you have been praying and asking about Sam's test. On Friday, Sam had a repeat EEG to see if the anti-seizure medication is working. We didn't receive news as good as we were hoping.
Sam has Absence seizures. He is having 50+ a day. Absence seizures are brief episodes of staring. Another name for them is petit mal. During the seizure, awareness and responsiveness are impaired. People who have them usually don't realize when they've had one. There is no warning before a seizure, and the person is completely alert immediately afterward. The EEG, which lasted about 30 minutes total, showed that he had seizures lasting anywhere from 1-2 seconds to 7-9 seconds depending on the stimuli (breathing hard, blinking light).
The neurologist has decided to gradually double his medication. On this medication, he should seeing a clear and clean EEG and he isn't. Hopefully, as we gradually get to the right dosage, we can get this under control. Please continue prayers for our sweet boy.

Willy Wonka
I took the Big Kids to see "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" at a theater in the city. We went to see a production of Junie B. Jones a few months ago at the same place and fell in love with this theater group. We'lll definitely be going back again for next season's plays. So many opportunities here for the kids!

Sam's Field Trip
I was lucky to get to go on Sam's Kindergarten Field Trip to Moody Gardens. We got to go to the Aquarium and then to see an ocean movie at the IMAX.
