Prayers for Sam...

Sam had what they think was a seizure in the slide at McD's. He was unconscious when I pulled him out and was in and out of consciousness for about an hour after. 911 was called and we rode in an ambulance to the ER. He doesn't remember any of that. He slept for a good portion of the ER tests (CT scan, blood work, catherizaion, and EKG), which all came back normal. Once he woke up, he's been the same ol' Sam since. He has had no residual effects of the seizure. We followed up with our pediatrician and she ordered an EEG to be done in a few weeks. She did tell us that 60% of kids who have a seizure before age 12, never have another one again.

Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
Katie snapped this pic of the ambulance (Thanks, Katie! You really do know me!) and I took a few at the hospital:

Nate is 8 months old!

Mr. Nate is now 8 months old. He sits up unassisted, eats almost anything we put in his mouth, and smiles all the time. He is still doing the army tummy crawl and pulls up in his bed. Everyday with him is so much fun!

Sam's Drawing

Sam drew this picture. He wanted me to post it on the blog to show "everyone."

I love the "Bye Sam!" He's trying so hard to spell words. Gotta love environmental print! He knew that BUY was by because of Best-Buy!

4th of July

We celebrated the 4th of July this year by being in the Friendswood parade. A group of us and our kids rode in the back of a trailer and waved. It was HOT, HOT, HOT! The kids did fantastic and had a great time. We looked quite cute in our matching tie-dyed shirts. Thanks, Ms. Rebecca!

After the parade, we went home for a little bit. Everyone got a nap and then we headed over to a friend's ILs house for some yummy food, swimming, and fireworks. The pool was great fun on such a hot day. The kids had fun and the fireworks were great. Once the show was over, we packed up and headed home. It was a long (but fun) day!

Waiting for the fireworks in the front yard...
